Position: ARROW HEALTH & SAFETY
SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Job Description
Primary Responsibility
To sell, distribute, and service first aid products, safety supplies, AED’s and training to customers in need of these services and products.
Essential duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Prospecting new customers with a primary focus on existing Arrow Uniform rental and direct sale accounts.
- Commit to 40 – 50 hours per week.
- Solicit, close and install new accounts.
- Maintain a current and accurate accounting of all activities through our CRM System (SalesLogix).
- Service existing accounts by maintaining appropriate inventory levels, demonstrating the feature and benefits of new and existing product offerings, and acting as a liaison between the customer and Arrow with regards to pricing, product availability, accounts receivable, and all other aspects of the services provided.
- Responsible for prompt, professional, and courteous resolution of all customer inquiries such as but not limited to billing problems, delivery issues, etc.
- Completes and submits on a timely basis all required paperwork associated with the position.
- Provides input as to market trends and competitive pressures.
- Ability in becoming American Heart and OSHA OTI Instructor for the purpose of class instruction.
Reports to: Director of Sales Arrow Health & Safety.
Base salary: A minimum weekly guarantee of $450.00 + commissions
Commissions:
15% of gross profit for first aid products
12% of gross profit for safety products
10% of gross profit for AED products
20% of gross revenue for all training
Gross profit is the difference between Arrow Health & Safety’s published cost for the product and/or service and the actual selling price.
Gross margin policy:
Safety products: 40%
First aid products: 50%
AED products: 50%
Margin Discounts:
Not to exceed 5% without approval of the Director of Sales of Arrow Health & Safety.
Discounts in excess of 5% may result in a reduction in commission at the sole discretion
of the Director of Sales.
Training:
To be quoted on an account-by-account basis and requires pre-approval by the Director
of Sales.
Quarterly bonus plan:
$60,000 in Sales = $1,000 bonus
$70,000 in sales = $1,500 bonus
$80,000 in sales = $2,000 bonus
New Hire Provisions:
- Minimum salary guarantee up to $650 per week for a period not to exceed 10 weeks from date of hire. This minimum guarantee can be eliminated at any time during the 10 week period at the sole discretion of the Director of Sales Arrow Health & Safety.
- The minimum performance expectation for a new hire is to generate $5000/week in revenue within 10 weeks from the date of hire. Failure to meet this expectation will result suspension. Extensive training is provided.
Miscellaneous Terms and Conditions:
- All bonuses are not earned until paid and the sales representative must be a full time
employee of Arrow Uniform at time of distribution.
- This plan is subject to change at the sole discretion of the Director of Sales Arrow
Health & Safety and the President of Arrow Uniform.
- This plan supersedes any other Arrow Health & Safety sales representative
compensation plans.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Minimum of an associate’s degree or technical certificate in the health field.
- Background or knowledge of industrial safety.
- Current or previous CPR / First Aid instructor status.
- Current or former MFR, EMT, LPN, RN.
- Current OSHA OTI card.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and state programs such as MIOSHA.
- The desire / ability to obtain OSHA, CPR, First Aid Instructor status.
